Q – How do I download my fonts?
A – Upon purchase of your fonts, you will receive an e-mail with instructions of how to download your fonts. If however, you don't receive this e-mail, please visit http://www.colophon-foundry.org/download and enter your unique paypal transaction ID. Your fonts will be available to download a maximum of 3 times, for a time period of 3 days.
Q – Why only OpenType?
A – The main reason for offering our fonts in only OpenType format, is that of cross-compatibility. OpenType is the only format that is cross-platform compatible. As well as that, OpenType fonts consist of only one file rather than two.
Q – Do you offer discounts?
A – If your project is under-funded/for charity/non profit, then please contact us with details. Unfortunately we do not offer discounts to students.
Q – Do you provide test versions of fonts?
A – Unfortunately we don't provide test versions of our typefaces. We do however offer our free Type Proofer service where you can preview all of our typefaces in multiple sizes and colours. We also provide extensive specimen PDF files showing our typefaces at multiple sizes with a range of content.
Q – Can I send you my font submission?
Absolutely! We're always on the look out for new and exciting designers to add to our library. If you think you have something that suits our aesthetic, then please send high-res pdf's to
abc@colophon-foundry.org.
Q – I don't have a paypal account, can I pay with a debit or credit card?
A – You do not need a Paypal account to purchase our fonts or products. Simply select your fonts or products and click 'Checkout with Paypal', once the new screen has loaded you will be presented with top options of paying on the right hand side. The bottom option allows payment without Paypal; it is labelled 'Don't have a Paypal account?'. Follow the Paypal instructions and enter all the required details.
Q – I forgot to download my fonts!
A – If you ran out of time on your timed downloads, please contact us while referencing your unique transaction id, and we will re-instate your downloads. The three day timer is a security precaution.
Q – Do you offer your fonts on the web?
We currently provide a selection of our typefaces to be used online using @font-face via the Fontdeck service. All other technologies such as sIFR, Cufon, privately hosted @font-face and flash embedding is prohibited. Please see our licence for further details.
Q – Do you charge VAT?
As of April 2nd 2012, we currently charge VAT at a rate of 20% to all eligible countries within the EU. Upon selecting your country, the prices will update automatically. We do not charge VAT on books.
