E.U.L.A. (End User Licence Agreement)
By downloading and/or installing Colophon Foundry font software you agree to the following terms:
Pricing & Availability:
We believe our pricing strategy is accessible
for all. Our fonts are individually priced relating to their designer,
use and availability. We reserve the right to increase and decrease prices
of font software as we see suitable. Some typefaces are limited from 50–500,
if not stated the font will be distributed in an unlimited quantity.
Lost & Stolen Fonts:
If Colophon Foundry software is mis-placed or stolen from a licensed user,
we will happily replace the fonts to the licensee. The licensee must give
the full registered name and email address which matches to the from the
previous transaction.
Users:
Purchase of a font is for a single user. The purchase of a font makes
the buyer a licensed user of the font, not an owner. The font may be loaded
on to a maximum of 3 personal computers belonging to the same person or
organisation. Fonts may be copied onto mechanical or electrical device
for back-up purposes only. Copying for other purposes such as illegal
distribution or sharing is strictly prohibited and will lead to the termination
of this licence and may also lead to legal action. Fonts may not be sublicensed,
sold, leased, rented, lent, or given away to another person or business.
Fonts are allowed to be passed onto a pre-press service or printer for
output only.
Multi-User Licence:
For more than a single user of our font software we require you to obtain
a multi-user licence please contact us with your needs and specifications
at.
Modification:
Fonts are allowed to be modified for specific projects or purposes, but
not for commercial gain or re-sale. We ask you to inform us if you do
modify our fonts.
Usage:
There is no limit on commercial or personal usage, but we would love to
see how you use the typefaces purchased. Please submit usage examples
to us using the contact information.
Returns:
Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns or exchanges on our fonts due to
their digital nature, unless the product is defective – in this
case, we are happy to give technical assistance. Please contact us for
support.
Delivery:
Fonts will be delivered via email within 24 hours of payment being received.
Please make sure you use a correct email address for ordering. Specimen
catalogues will be posted first class and should arrive within 2–7
days of payment being received.
Breach of terms:
Any breach of the terms of this Agreement shall be cause for termination.
In the event of termination, if applicable, you agree to immediately return
the Font Software to Colophon Foundry and certify that no copy remains
in your possession or control. The breach of these terms may also lead
to legal action.
Embedding:
Embedding of the Colophon Foundry font software in other software or devices
or in any other form whatsoever requires the purchase of and shall be
governed by a separate license agreement. Please contact us to discuss.
Updates:
We advise you sign up to our newsletter to stay easily update with the
Colophon Foundry. You may also be entitled to updates and discounts of
new cuts of the fonts you have purchased.
Hardware & Software damage:
Although every effort has been taken to check these fonts for viruses
we do not take responsibility for damage caused to user’s hardware
or software.
We reserve the right to update our licence agreement, at any time without prior consent or notice. Please check this agreement regularly.
