The Colophon Standard

Colophon Standard cover
Information

All fonts in the Colophon library are developed to a company specific standard we have called ‘The Colophon Standard’.

This is an extensive predefined character map that covers Western, Central & Eastern European languages. This ground-up approach ensures that our clients are guaranteed a base level of language support when licensing even standard variants of our font software, avoiding potential missing glyphs.
Expanding on the Adobe Latin-3 Character Set, Colophon adds additional Welsh language support as well as a core set of OpenType features:
— Localized Forms [locl]
— Subscript Numbers [subs]
— Scientific Inferiors [sinf]
— Fractions [frac]
— Ligatures [liga]
— Contextual Alternates [calt]
STD variants of Colophon library typefaces will be developed to the full Colophon Standard while PRO variants will contain additional language support, most commonly in Cyrillic and Greek scripts. Both STD and PRO variants will contain the core OpenType features, with PRO variants containing additional features and stylistic alternates.
